Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation, founded in 1983, officially began serving the children and families of Arizona. Today Phoenix Children’s Hospital is one of the ten largest children’s hospitals in the country. More importantly, among the most respected, with many of their clinical programs ranked as the best in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Every dollar donated, and every hour invested, directly impacts the lives of patients and families.
The Foundation’s old WordPress site was not living up to expectations as far as conversion, speed, and user experience. The site experienced slow load times, which hindered conversion and frustrated both staff and users alike.
Marketing Press was charged to develop a site that converted well, loaded fast and was scalable so an internal team could assume the day to day site management role.
Working with Shane Barnhill, Director, Digital Philanthropy we collaborated on a site design that would position PCHF’s brand as a leader in their industry. Shane wanted a site that used parallax scrolling, but was easy to manage to assist internal team members feature their content and move towards their goals.
Marketing Press altered the Studiopress Genesis Parallax Pro theme to meet PCHF’s needs. By giving each page it’s own identity with large bold featured images, users can navigate the site easily and consume the necessary content to help them volunteer, or become a donor to the hospital.
The new PhoenixChildrensFoundation.org has launched to rave reviews. Many other children’s hospitals have conveyed to PCHF staff that this new WordPress site is “Best in Class.”
